Lincoln City will be aiming to build on back-to-back wins over Northampton Town and Portsmouth when they take on Doncaster Rovers on Matchday 27. The Imps proved their worth in the midweek triumph against the ten-man Pompey, with the team moving one step closer to securing automatic promotion to the Championship. Boss Michael Appleton has a full squad to choose from, and he is likely to field the best possible side against Doncaster.
The Donny, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run in the League One. Doncaster Rovers have been producing fine display in the second half of the season, but they face an uphill task in Saturday’s showdown. After ending his loan spells with Yeovil Town, Watford, and Stockport County, the 175-cm footballer signed a five-month contract with Brighton where he established himself as a first-team regular.
After making 132 appearances in the league for the Seagulls, Liam Bridcutt moved to Sunderland in the winter of 2014. He played for the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers as well before joining Lincoln City in January, 2020.
His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. The Lincoln City player has a dual citizenship (Scotland/England), and it has to be noted that he has two caps with the Scotland national team.
